► Aim of the Department

⇒ The objective of the Department is to provide students with a high quality education in international studies. Towards this aim, the Department fosters the study of the international society phenomena with the theoretical and methodological arsenal in interdisciplinary manner and in particular through the study of law and the institutions, international relations, political science and political economy. Consequently, the Department aims to help students embed the basic principles of international and European law and the basic theory and methodology of International Relations and International Political Economy. Moreover, students are expected to be able to study bibliography in two foreign languages, to carry out basic research and with the use of computers and engage in scientific activities such as attending seminars and workshops.

⇒ Learning Objectives-Success tools: 

a) Internationalization and strengthening openness of our student community, through participation in student mobility programs (e.g. Erasmus) and international summer schools of the Department that enable forging international cooperation networks

b) Research skills cultivation through programmes of expert researchers in the research centers of the department

c) Formation of epistemic culture through focusing on Academic Ethics Rules

d) Interface with labor market and social agencies through Internships

► Aim of the Department

⇒ The objectives of the Department include in general, and the following: theoretical and historical- empirical investigation of the phenomenon of communication both in teaching and in research level. Practical training of students in media space (newspapers, radio, cultural management, new technologies, advertising, public relations and rhetoric). Training journalists and executives for daily public press and the media. Training cultural managers, communications specialists, advertisers, public relations specialists and executives of all communication and information forms and infrastructure for teaching and research.
