Student Care

 

 

 Student ID Card (Pass)
 
The Student ID Card is granted to all students -undergraduate and postgraduate- and is valid for all years of student welfare. Students who attend courses leading to a second degree are not entitled to a Student ID Card.
It is valid for an academic year and, upon display, provides discount on urban and intercity transport, railway and maritime transport in the country as well as discount to museums and cultural events. The Student ID Card (D.E.E) is issued by the Secretariat of the Department, at the beginning of each academic year.
 
Food
All students, undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral, are entitled to free meals. The meals are provided in the University Restaurant (Lagoumitzi 15-17). For those staying in the Student Residencies of the National Youth Foundation (E.I.N.), meals are provided in their residence. The restaurant is open all days of the week, in the morning, at noon and in the evening, except Christmas and Easter holidays and summer.

Housing
Student Residencies are hosted in a University-owned building. The building is currently unavailable due to renovation works. Until completion of the renovation process, students entitled to housing stay in Student Residencies of other Universities or, under certain requirements, they are granted the student housing allowance.

Health care
The benefit of free healthcare is granted to all students -undergraduate and postgraduate. Students are entitled to admission in hospitals and to hospitalisation as well as to free medication.
After registering in the Department, the student receives the Student Medical Care Card, provided that he or she has applied for the University as preferred insurance entity. The documentation to be provided is defined by the relevant Health Care Department.
There is also a First Aid Station in the Campus, accessible to all members of the university community.

Housing Allowance
According to Laws 3220/2004, 3255/2004 and 3296/2004, the decision 1104059/7953/2004 and the document 2/40130/0026/26-
-2014 of the Ministry of Finance, students who fullfil certain requirements, are granted a housing allowance of one thousand (1000)
euro .
